The Porch was created as a place to slow down, gather, and enjoy thoughtfully made food & coffee together. Inspired by childhood memories on my grandparents’ front porch in North Star, Ohio, it’s a space to feel at home, connect with others, and find nourshment in life's simple moments.
Meet The Founder
Alayna Rindler
Hello, and welcome to my dream! I'm passionate about good food, authentic community, and creativity. I have always felt called to own a business that impacts my community in a meaningful way, and I have been baking for as long as I can remember.
In 2017, I started Heaven’s Sweet Shoppe, baking cakes and desserts for life’s celebrations. After graduating from Versailles High School in 2023, I attended Belmont University, where I earned a bachelor’s degree in entrepreneurship.
The Porch began as a microbakery in my grandparents’ old farmhouse—the very place that inspired its vision.
My grandmother and I spent hours on her front porch swing, talking, laughing, and watching cars go by. Time seemed to slow down. We were simply present with each other and the world around us.
In a world full of distractions and inauthenticity, my hope is to create room for that same feeling: a slower pace, meaningful connection, and the joy of sharing good food and coffee.
Where We Are Now
We opened our storefront in September 2026 in a restored building in downtown Versailles. From furniture given new life to shared tables and cozy corners, every detail invites you to settle in and feel at home. Wi-Fi, outlets, and workspaces also make room for creativity.
Local hands have helped shape The Porch, from renovating our space to providing ingredients and filling our shelves with art and handmade goods. We’re grateful to share their work with you.
